Risk Warning Before Investing
Cryptocurrencies, ledger tokens and other digital assets involve significant risk. You should understand these risks before buying, selling, swapping, holding or interacting with any token, issuer, market, liquidity pool, reward campaign or wallet signing flow.
No Financial Advice
dextool provides software tools, market information and wallet interfaces. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or trade any asset.
Market Volatility
Digital asset prices can move sharply and unpredictably. A token may lose substantial value or become difficult to sell, especially when liquidity is low, trading activity is limited or market conditions change quickly.
Liquidity and Slippage
Quoted prices, order books, AMM pools and swap estimates may change before a transaction is validated. Low liquidity can result in poor execution, large slippage, partial fills or an inability to exit a position at the expected price.
Issuer and Token Risks
Tokens may depend on third-party issuers, project teams, trustlines, reserves, distribution choices, token controls, business promises or external infrastructure. Issuer activity, poor disclosure, abandoned projects, fraud or operational failures can affect token value and usability.
Wallet and Transaction Risks
You are responsible for reviewing every wallet prompt before signing. Ledger transactions are generally irreversible once validated. Sending assets to the wrong address, approving the wrong transaction or losing access to your wallet may result in permanent loss.
Hot Wallet Risks
A hot wallet keeps signing access available in the browser after you unlock it. This can make transactions faster, but it also increases exposure if your device, browser profile, password manager, local storage, extensions or downloaded backup file are compromised.
dextool creates and unlocks hot wallets in the browser so the wallet seed is not sent to dextool servers. You are responsible for keeping the encrypted backup file and password safe. If you lose the backup or password, dextool cannot recover the wallet. If someone else gets both, they may be able to move funds.
Only use a hot wallet for funds and permissions you are prepared to risk. For larger balances or long-term storage, consider using a separate wallet with stronger operational controls.
Data and Availability Risks
Market, issuer, account and transaction data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable due to third-party providers, public ledger infrastructure, caching, rate limits, network conditions or software issues. Always verify important information independently before acting.
Regulatory and Tax Risks
Digital asset rules may vary by jurisdiction and can change. You are responsible for understanding any legal, regulatory, reporting or tax obligations that may apply to your activity.
Invest Responsibly
Only risk funds you can afford to lose. Consider your financial situation, research each asset and issuer, use independent sources, and seek qualified professional advice when needed.
